Dive Travel Schedule |
I am a NAUI Instructor and Course Director. I am also an instructor for PADI, TDI/SDI,
DAN and a cofounder and Training Director of the National Instructors Association for Divers
with Disabilities
(NIADD). While completing my Masters of Arts in Adapted Physical Education at San Jose
State University, I authored, A Guide to Scuba Instruction for Divers with Special Needs.
This text is available through Best Publishing. Starting in early 2003, I will be working
with Easter Seals of San Jose to offer scuba programs to divers with special needs.
I have been teaching actively in the Monterey area for
over 19 years. At present, I teach all levels of scuba from entry level to
Divemaster through Any Water Sports Dive Center in San Jose, CA; where I have
been an equipment specialist for over 12 years.
Currently, I am the Diving Safety Officer
for California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB), and I teach the recreational scuba
programs at both CSUMB and San Jose State University. In addition, I teach a diving Safety
and Research Class for the Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) Center at Monterey
Peninsula College. Along with my activities as a scuba instructor, I am the diving
representative for the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council.
I also lead trips to international dive destinations.
